AAA Approved Auto Repair Benefits
When you present your AAA membership card, you are entitled to:

Free Maintenance Inspection -- When your vehicle is serviced by this business, upon request, your vehicle will be inspected at no charge for items most frequently contributing to roadside breakdowns, and you will receive a written recommendation of any needed maintenance or repairs. (By appointment only, and vehicle must be in for repair on a pay ticket.)

Written Estimate -- Upon request, you will be provided a written estimate of the cost of all work to be performed on your vehicle. The cost of work performed may not exceed the written estimate by more than 10 percent, unless authorized by you in advance. (Local and state regulations will take precedence regarding notification of repair costs.)

Warranty -- Repairs, including parts and labor, are covered by a warranty of one (1) year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.* (Certain restrictions apply.)

Returned Parts -- As evidence of work performed, all replaced parts are returned to you, upon request, with the exception of those that must be returned to the manufacturer under a warranty or exchange program.

Dispute Resolution -- AAA will investigate any dispute between a member and this business. AAA's resolution decision will be accepted by this business. You are not bound by AAA's decision and may seek recourse through other avenues. Click here to submit your complaints or comments.

  1. Make an appointment whenever possible.  Delays are less likely if the Approved Auto Repair facility is expecting you.
  2. Show your AAA card.  Tell the facility it was recommended by AAA, and you expect the best from an AAR facility.
  3. Describe -- in detail -- the symptoms.  Don't diagnose.   Let the technicians diagnose and recommend repairs.
  4. Provide vehicle maintenance and repair history.
  5. Ask for estimates before you authorize repairs.  Also, ask if there are any diagnostic fees.  Never give a blanket authorization, unless you know the final repair price.  Don't accept guesses or "round" figures as repair estimates.
  6. If you leave the vehicle at the repair facility, provide telephone numbers of where you can be reached.  Be accessible to discuss diagnosis, estimates and authorizations.
  7. Stay involved.  Ask questions until you fully understand and are satisfied with the explanation.
  8. Ask for and understand repair warranties.  The minimum warranty provided at AAR facilities is 12 months or 12,000 miles.
  9. Have the facility save all replaced parts for your inspection.   If the malfunctioning parts are remanufactured and must be returned, ask to inspect them.  Have the facility show you the defect(s).
  10. The final repair bill shouldn't exceed the estimate by more than 10 percent.  Ask for explanations and have the facility adjust the repair bill for any unauthorized repairs.
  11. Keep all repair documents.  Well-documented repair histories provide support when warranty questions arise.
  12. If not satisfied, inform the facility immediately and schedule a reinspection.  Any facility can have problems, but good facilities will promptly address these problems and provide satisfaction.
