AAA Arizona’s “Si Se Puede”
scholarship, Spanish for “it can be done,”
will award a total of $5,000 to five Hispanic
students enrolled in an Arizona accredited
college or university. Each scholar will
receive a $1,000 one-time scholarship and
a four-year AAA membership. The ¡Si Se Puede!
Scholarship program is designed to help high
school seniors obtain a college degree.
AAA is seeking applicants for 2010 scholarships.
The scholarship is open to entering freshmen
students living in Arizona and attending an
accredited college or university in Arizona.
Scholarship applications for the 2010-2011
academic year are currently available online.
The deadline to submit an application is April
16, 2010. Interested students can download

Program Description
The AAA ¡Si Se Puede! Scholarship is dedicated to assist five outstanding
high school graduates in Arizona attend college. This scholarship
is open to entering freshmen students attending Arizona universities and
community colleges. This is a one-time award in the amount of $1,000 and
a four-year AAA membership.
Application Deadline: April 16, 2010
Total Scholarship Funds: $5,000
Individual Awards: $1,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be an Arizona resident
- Plan to be enrolled full-time as undergraduate student in Arizona for
the upcoming academic year in an accredited college or university
- Have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of no
less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Have a clean driving record
Required Documents:
- Official School Transcript
- Copy of letter of acceptance to school or other proof of enrollment
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
- Proof of Citizenship
- Statement of Intention and Goals
- Copy of AZ Driver’s License
Important Factors in the Scholarship Selection
Letters of Recommendation from person unrelated to applicant. Statement
of Intention and Goals – an explanation of applicant’s career goal and
how attending this school will help the applicant to attain it. The scholarships
are competitive and applications do not guarantee an award. Awardees will
be selected by AAA Arizona.
Funding
AAA will issue a check upon invoice for the full amount, to be placed directly
into a 501(c)(3) set up by the educational institution. The participating
college/university will be responsible for dispersing the funds into student’s
financial aid account to use in paying for educational-related expenses.
Scholarship can be used for tuition, books and other related costs. For information
