Visions of sugar cones rise in a spire with confections replete in this gingerbread shire.  Santa’s Secret Gingerbread Village, Marriott’s magnificent edible metropolis, holds court throughout the holiday season in the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort’s grand lobby.  The 12-foot by 12-foot town square represents 400 hours of construction by Marriott’s culinary team, 350 pounds of gingerbread dough, 120 pounds of chocolate and 120 pounds of candy. Adults and children are invited to pay a visit to the delectable district and, while they’re at it, pen a wish list in a letter to Santa … which just might need to include a hot cocoa canal.
