Nominate Your Favorite Crossing Guard
Do you know a crossing guard who demonstrates outstanding dedication, friendliness,
professionalism and safety? AAA Arizona and the Maricopa Association of Governments
are currently seeking candidates for the second annual Crossing Guard of the
Year award. We are accepting nominations from colleagues, school administrators,
parents and students. Self-nominations are also accepted and encouraged.
This is your chance to recognize one of the more than 1,000 school crossing guards
who work tirelessly to make sure students get to and from school safely. For

teiden@arizona.aaa.com. Winners will be announced during regional crossing guard
training in August.
New Dare to Prepare Workshops
These free pre-permit workshops for parents and teens have become one of the
hottest tickets in town, filling up almost as soon as dates are announced. To
accommodate this demand, we’ve added new dates in March and April. Dare to Prepare
workshops provide parents and teens with the critical information they need to
know before teens take the wheel.

April is National Car Care Month
To celebrate national Car Care Month, AAA members are encouraged to visit a local
AAA Approved Auto Repair (AAR) facility during the month of April for a free
36-point maintenance and brake inspection.
