January is National Eye Care Month

Most customers who visit a doctor of optometry come in to get a new prescription. Many don’t anticipate that they will discover a major health problem. That’s what happened when a patient walked into LensCrafters in Rochester, New York, and asked to get new glasses, but had an expired prescription. During the exam, the doctor discovered that the customer had glaucoma, one of the leading causes of blindness.
