Wrigley Mansion
A historic Arizona landmark, the Wrigley Mansion was built between 1929 and 1931 by chewing gum magnate, William Wrigley Jr. The mansion features a combination of architectural design styles including Spanish Colonial Revival, California Monterey and Mediterranean. Thanks to the restorative efforts of its most recent owner, the late Geordie Hormel (heir to the Hormel Foods Corporation fortune), most of the original design and decoration elements are still intact. In its most recent incarnation since passing from the hands of the Wrigley family in the 1960s, the mansion has been operating as a private club. Under Hormel’s direction, the mansion, garden and grounds were restored to their 1930s splendor. Hormel also saw to it that The Wrigley Mansion Club’s annual dues were reduced to $10 so everyone could enjoy this Phoenix Point of Pride.
