New Year, New Jobs Here at Home

I don't know about you, but I tend to think someone's fiddling with the clock. Here we are at the beginning of another new year, and yet again, I'm reminded how quickly the time passes.

About a year ago, Arizona newspapers covered the announcement that AAA would be opening a new call center operation in Glendale. Well, I’m proud to say it’s now open. In December, I had the great pleasure of hosting Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs and numerous other local officials for our official ribbon-cutting ceremony. It was a wonderful celebration, and AAA now is better equipped than ever to help make your travels through life safe and enjoyable.

The facility, itself, is massive. We have more than 200,000 square feet of office space, situated on a beautiful 31-acre campus. The space includes state-of-the-art call routing and other features designed to make it easier for our employees to provide better service to you. Within two years, as many as 1,200 people will work at the facility. That will make AAA the largest employer in the city of Glendale.

The fact that AAA can make such a significant contribution to the Arizona economy is a great source of pride for our management team. While other companies look farther and farther from home to fill customer service roles, we're staying within our community. When you're in Arizona and you call AAA's 800-number for Emergency Road Service and other services, the folks in Glendale will be the ones who pick up the phone.

Our ability to continue employing more Arizonans also reflects the growth AAA has enjoyed over the past decade. Nearly than 750,000 Arizona residents now are members of AAA, relying on us for everything from auto insurance and homeowners insurance to travel services and automotive repair. With the new operation in Glendale, we can improve on our members' ability to access these services.

Consumer studies show AAA is regarded as one of the most relevant and caring brands in the United States. We aim to continue this legacy. The new facility in Glendale is part of the equation. AAA has been in business for more than 100 years, and we look forward to serving you for many more years to come.
Despite the speed of the clock, the changing calendar gives us a chance to wish you and your family all the best in the coming months. Happy New Year from all of us at AAA Arizona
