2006 Four and Five Diamond Winners

Technology butlers (personal computer consultants), plasma televisions and optional organic ingredients for dinner are just some of the luxuries luring visitors to Arizona resorts and restaurants. This year, AAA awarded 56 Arizona hotels and restaurants with Four Diamond status while eight hotels and restaurants earned the most coveted AAA distinction, Five Diamonds.

This year’s Five Diamond Winners represent less than one half of one percent of the 57,000 properties AAA evaluated throughout North America. Four Diamond properties make up three percent of the total.

“Service is what distinguishes Four and Five Diamond facilities,” says Jim Prueter, AAA Vice President of Travel, “Anticipating a guest’s need before the guest expresses — or even realizes — that need, greeting the guest by name, quickly answering the phone — all these things make a visit more pleasurable and more memorable.”

This year, AAA welcomes Tucson’s The Ventana Room to the elite Five Diamond group of restaurants. The Camelback Inn in Scottsdale continues its tradition of excellence by celebrating its 30th year on the Five Diamond list, the only Arizona property to win five diamonds every year since the awards began.
