Chrysler announces the demise of four vehicles

Now under new ownership, Chrysler has announced that four vehicles will be eliminated from its lineup. Jim Press, Chrysler’s new co-president cited “models that overlap. We have vehicles that serve the same market segment and actually compete with each other to some extent.”

The departing vehicles are: Dodge Magnum, Chrysler Pacifica, Crossfire and PT Cruiser Convertible (the sedan version will remain).

All four models have been slow sellers. Two new products, Dodge Journey crossover vehicle and Dodge Challenger coupe, will replace the outgoing models.
