The Season for Saving
If you’re lucky, you won’t have to use our most popular member service in the coming months. But even if you don’t need emergency roadside assistance, your AAA membership can help you this holiday season.
I know you always think of us when you’re in a tight spot with your car. Many of you remember us when you’re planning a road trip and need a map or TourBook®. Those are important elements of your membership, to be sure. But did you know that AAA can help you with the one thing that’s on everyone’s mind this time of year? Saving money.

Our Show Your Card & Save program has grown by leaps and bounds. As one of the largest membership organizations in the world, we are able to partner with companies and retailers that are familiar and useful to you. I recently had Sirius Satellite Radio installed in my car because it’s such a great deal for AAA members.

Target.com, Payless Shoe Source, Circuit City — these are a few of the national retailers that offer discounts to card-carrying AAA members. But if you’re like me, you like to support neighborhood businesses as well. That’s why you’ll find local favorites like Flagstaff’s Granny’s Closet Restaurant, Glendale’s Gelato Matto and Phoenix’s Tradiciones on our list of partners. Check out AAA.com and you’ll find discounts on everything from local auto repair and attractions to movie tickets and pretzels.

Some discounts are offered only online, some are offered in stores.  But however you like to shop — and whomever you have to shop for — you’re sure to find something to suit your needs. If you don’t like to use the computer, pick up a savings guide at one of our branch offices, or see pages 14 and 66 of this issue for new partners, savings specials and a list of all of our partners.

I invite you to show your card and save this shopping season and watch the savings add up. You may just end up saving more than enough to pay for your membership.
