Responsibilities: |
The North American Travel Specialist (also known as Air/Car/Hotel Agent) uses knowledge of geography, weather and road conditions to provide information on automobile travel in the United States, Canada and Mexico. They route trips on maps, processes Trip-Tiks both by hand and through computerized system.
They serve as the primary contact to service members in the store environment providing information, service and sales connected with travel by automobile. They provide outstanding customer service.
The North American Travel Specialist promotes and sells travel related products to include, but not limited to Mexico insurance, hotel reservations, car rentals, travelers cheques, travel insurance, International Driving Permits, passport photos and retail merchandise. They also sell to undiscovered needs: Disneyland, Grand Canyon Rail, Lake Powell, travel insurance, southwest tour packages and American Tours International city packages.
The North American Travel Specialist cross-sells and up sells membership. They serve as backup Cashier and Receptionist. |
Requirements: |

- A passion for geography and maps.
- Previous sales experience
- North American geography knowledge and map reading ability
- Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
