Cruise/Tour Agent

AAA Arizona is looking for an individual to sell domestic and international cruise and tour travel in a high volume telephone sales and service environment

Responsibilities include:

• Providing a high level of customer service to ensure the member is totally satisfied.
• Achieving  annual and monthly customer service and sales goals as set by Manager.
• Meeting minimum expectations set by Manager for file audits and call monitoring.
• Supporting all preferred supplier relationships by selling only these products unless specifically requested by member.
• Supporting AAA Diamond Departures by always suggesting group departures.
• Maintaining a high level of travel destination knowledge
• Developing and implementing personal marketing plan to attain sales goals.
• Supporting Department and Club marketing efforts.
• Maintaining detailed client list for future sales opportunities.
• Maintaining knowledge of and utilizing available resources to enhance member travel plans and ultimately their service experience.
• Resolution of client/vendor concerns
• Fostering teamwork within department and with all other company employees.
• Weekly audit of personal sales and commissions.
• Following company established procedures, guidelines and standards in the areas of customer service, PNR's and Profiles, ticketing, invoicing, client files and overall accuracy of work.
• Maintaining thorough understanding and working knowledge of Club computerized systems.
• Obtaining ongoing industry certifications.
• Proficiency in using travel automation

We are looking for professional candidates with…

• A background in telephone travel sales, as well as destination and vendor product knowledge as related to job.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience selling international and domestic cruise and tour products
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Telephone sales skills including ability to control the conversation.
• Excellent customer service, sales, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications, travel related websites and travel booking system (Apollo preferred);
• Possess ability to work independently and interdependently as part of a team
• Capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously

Must obtain AAA Arizona Membership Expert certification upon hire. Annual re-certification is required.
