Responsibilities: |
Our Commercial Lines Insurance Specialist will solicit and sell commercial lines insurance products and will serve as an internal commercial products/sales resource within the agency. Our Specialist will quote and write all types of commercial lines insurance including, but not limited to, BOP, worker's compensation, umbrella and auto.
Responsibilities will include:
- Prospecting from membership lists, transfers and any other resources made available
- Prospecting via community business groups, sales genie, etc.
- Developing leads and prospects for the purpose of conducting fact-finding interviews to determine needs for coverage
- Preparing proposals and conducting closing interviews for commercial lines sales
- Working closely with P&C agents to promote referral program
- Serving as product resource for branch agents actively selling commercial lines products
Compensation plan includes base salary and earned commissions.

Requirements: |
- Valid Arizona P&C insurance license
- High school diploma or GED; bachelors degree and insurance designations preferred
- Minimum of two years' experience selling commercial lines insurance products; preference for those owning part of all of current commercials books with no or limited non-compete
- Computer literate in Microsoft products and working knowledge of insurance software applications
- Strong sales acumen - proven ability to develop a CL book of business
- Excellent written, interpersonal, communication and telephone skills required
- Proven sales, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Proven ability to work independently and interdependently as part of a team environment
