AAA Extends Teen Driving PSA Contest Deadline

Grand prize will receive $2,000

AAA has extended the deadline to submit entries for the AAA Teen Driving public service announcement (PSA) contest to September 30.  To submit a PSA entry visit www.aaateendriving.com

Teens interested in entering the contest must create a 60 second PSA designed to build awareness on the biggest issues facing teen drivers. Winners of the PSA contest will receive a grand prize of $2,000, second place will receive $700 and third place will receive $300, all courtesy of AAA Insurance.

“The extended deadline gives students who were caught up in the back-to-school chaos to now create a brief video on the topic of teen driving, and have a chance of winning $2,000 for their efforts,” said Linda Gorman, AAA Arizona public affairs director.

A panel of judges will select the top five PSAs to be posted on www.aaateendriving.com where the general public will be invited to vote for their favorite PSA.

Just recently, AAA launched an exclusive online social community designed specifically for teen drivers, www.aaateendriving.com as a way to encourage teens to engage in meaningful dialogue regarding teen driving.

Teens are invited to log onto www.aaateendriving.com to share their on-the-road experiences with other teens in discussion forums, keep up-to-date on safe driving tips and resources by reading the Teens on the Road blog, vote in polls to see what other teen drivers are doing and enter to win the AAA PSA contest. The Teens on the Road blog will feature teen drivers from around the country as well as traffic safety experts providing tips and answering questions posed by teens.

AAA Arizona, the Arizona affiliate of AAA, provides automotive, insurance and auto travel services to nearly 800,000 Arizona members.
