September 19, 2009 - ALOHA FESTIVALS 57TH WAIKIKI HO'OLAULE'A,
7 p.m. Located on Kalakaua Avenue between Lewers & Kapahulu Avenues, the festival  celebrates its 57th year with the theme of Hula. The large block party is spread along 12 city blocks of Kalakaua Avenue, with entertainment, food, lei vendors and hula crafters.

October 25, 2009 - OPENING RECEPTION: HAWAIIAN FLAG QUILTS: LEGACY OF PATRIOTISM EXHIBITION; Mission Houses Museum, 5 p.m. –
8 p.m. Celebrate Hawaii’s 50th anniversary of statehood as the museum honors patriotism and Hawaii’s Flag Quilt traditions. Refreshments: FREE

October 15-25, 2009 - 29TH ANNUAL HAWAII INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
The Hawaii International Film Festival’s 29th Annual Fall Festival is at the Regal Dole Cannery Stadium 18 Cinemas! The largest "East Meets West" festival in the United States, screening hundreds of films every year from countries across the globe.

October 16, 2009 - 45TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY FOOD & NEW PRODUCTS SHOW
The 45th Annual Holiday Food and New products show provides a unique shopping experience for locals and visitors alike. The show hosts a collection of local and mainland merchants under one roof at  Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.

October 24-25, 2009 – WAIKIKI ARTFEST
The Waikiki Artfest features the fine art and handcrafted products of more than 75 Hawaii artists. Located in Kapiolani Park across from the Honolulu Zoo at the Diamond Head of Waikiki, it is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Admission is free.

November 12–14, 2009 - 18TH ANNUAL WORLD INVITATIONAL HULA FESTIVAL The 18th annual festival held at the Waikiki shell features three days of hula artists on stage. Off stage, artisans provide a variety of "Made in Hawaii " products and "Only in Hawaii " services.  Gates open at 4 p.m. each day; tickets  for sale at box office on day of event.

December 13, 2009 - THE HONOLULU MARATHON

January 11 – 17, 2010 - SONY OPEN IN HAWAII
The Sony Open in Hawaii is a "Friends of Hawaii Charities" event, that is the first full field event of the 2010 PGA TOUR. It takes place at the Waialae Country Club. Past champions include Vijay Singh, Ernie Els and Jerry Kelly.  Cost: $15 adance, $20 at gate.  The event raises money for local Hawaiian charities.
